CARES provides field Animal Control services within Burien and Des Moines. Use the form below to report an animal-related concern or request assistance.

YOU MAY USE THIS FORM TO REPORT:

• A loose domestic animal

• An injured or sick animal

• Aggressive or threatening behavior

• An animal bite or attack

• Suspected animal neglect, cruelty or abandonment

• An animal left inside a vehicle

• Nuisance barking

• A licensing concern

• Another animal-related public-safety or welfare concern

Reports are reviewed in priority order and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

If an animal presents an immediate threat to a person or traffic, call 911.

IF THE ANIMAL IS STILL LOOSE

• Observe the animal from a safe distance.

• Do not chase, corner or attempt to capture an unfamiliar or frightened animal.

• Keep children and other animals away.

• Note the exact location, time and direction the animal is traveling.

• Take photographs or video only if you can do so safely.

• Do not enter private property without permission.

• If you recognize the animal or know where it lives, include that information in your report.
