Meet Brodie!
Brodie is a female puggle, about 8 years old and 22 pounds. This little 3-legged sweetie is eager to find her new family!
Brodie was surrendered to CARES in April. She had suffered an injury to her leg in February that was not properly treated, and by the time CARES was contacted, the infection and damage were so bad that we had to immediately amputate the leg.
Despite what she's been through, Brodie is a total little trooper, and is just about the gentlest, sweetest, friendliest little lady you'd ever want to meet! As soon as she woke up from surgery, she was zooming around like she'd been a tripod her whole life! She is very affectionate with people, her happy goofy smile will melt your heart, and she is a total little ham. She's done well with the other dogs she's met, seems to be housebroken, and still loves her walks and playtime. She can be adorably vocal when she wants attention, and follows us around the office just waiting for a lap to open up.
Brodie is still recovering from her surgery, and will need a quiet, calm home with low activity for a little while as she recovers. We are definitely looking to get her placed in a forever home as soon as possible, but are open to possible fosters in the meantime during her recovery. She will need a home that can accommodate her abilities, and would do best in a home where she is not left alone for long periods, or possibly with a canine sibling to keep her company.
There isn't anything "bad" to say about this adorable cutie, so stop into CARES or call about meeting Brodie today!
Brodie is spayed, flea treated, up-to-date on her shots, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150.
