Here at Burien CARES we intake many animals that have medical issues and/or need to
be spayed/neutered. Altering an animal costs $25 to $100 for one surgery. An animal that comes
in with a broken leg could cost$3,000. An animal that gets hit by a car and breaks their
pelvis would need a surgery that costs $5,000! As you can see, the costs add up quickly. We
