Tremor is a senior male pitbull mix, about 10 years old and 66 pounds, who came to our shelter as a stray. Now this big happy teddy bear is looking for his new forever family!
Tremor is extremely well-behaved and well-mannered, and is truly a 'gentle giant.' He may be 10 years old, but this dude still has plenty of healthy energy, loves his walks, and does excellent on-leash. He is very intelligent and knows lots of commands, including sit, stay, shake, high-five, and speak! He seems to be housebroken, and does well in his kennel at night, although he does have occasional accidents, likely due to age-related bladder issues.
Tremor does not do well with other dogs or kitties. He does great with all kinds of people, though, and seems to be okay with kids, as well.
Tremor does have a lump on his thyroid that the vet thinks is probably malignant. He may have many years still left, and doesn't seem to be in any discomfort, but since treatment is prohibitively expensive, we're looking for a family that is willing to give this big sweetie a comfortable life for whatever time he's got left (and Tremor is still going very strong, so it could be a long, long time).
If you're looking for a handsome, well-behaved older pooch to add to the family, stop into CARES or call about meeting Tremor today!
Tremor is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccinations.
